Shelly started training dogs 17 years ago when she fell in love with greyhounds. She discovered that standard military-style training worked poorly with greyhounds, who respond much better to a positive play-training style. Shelly has since expanded to appreciate terrier and herding breeds.
Shelly's background includes training and certification as an Animal Health Technician and 10 years experience working as a technician in vet clinics, including Dove Lewis in Portland, Oregon.
Shelly's special interests at present are dog/child relations in the family, and training a harness goat.
