Rules and Regulations
The purpose of Best Friends Obedience and Agility School, Inc. Doggy Daycare is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for dogs during week day business hours. To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we request that you comply with the following.
Age: All dogs must be 12 weeks of age and of a size which assures it's safety within our confinement system. All dogs must be spayed or neutered (some exceptions for puppies).
Vaccinations: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations, including rabies. Owners must submit written proof that their dogs have received DHLP-P and
Bordetella vaccinations within the last 11 months. Corona vaccination to be administered at vet's discretion. All vaccinations must be given by a veterinarian or their authorized vet. tech.
Health: All dogs must be in good health. Owners will need to certify that their dog is in good health and has not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. On admission, all dogs must be free from any condition which could potentially jeopardize other guests. A negative result on a recent fecal test is required. Dogs who have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require a veterinarian's certification of health to be admitted or readmitted.
Behavior: All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy aggressive. Please remember that your dog will be spending time with other dogs in the presence of food and toys and that their safety and health is our main concern.
In-take Interview: All dogs and owners must go through an initial intake interview to check the dog for anti-social tendencies. This must be completed prior to the first day of daycare.
Fees: A rate sheet is attached. Fees are due and payable by the the end of the week in which daycare services are provided. However we would prefer that fees are paid in advance.
Days and Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Please ensure that your dog is on leash when you drop him/her off. Best Friends is not an overnight facility. If you need over-night care we will be happy to set it up for you so that your dog may enjoy daycare while he is being boarded. Our staff goes off duty at 6:00 pm and there will be a $1.00-per-minute charge for any pet still here after 6:00pm.
Reservations: Reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Preference will be given to dogs attending full time. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full fees.
